California Fire Prevention Organization, a unit of the California Fire Prevention Organization helped to create a safer holiday season with distribution of fire prevention kits to a number of California fire departments. “California has been hit with a remarkable number of wildfires, an increase in structure fires and in fatalities this year,” noted California Fire Prevention Organization’s executive officer David Barrett. “We would like to remind those agencies we work with that our thoughts are with them, and as we look to a new year, we’d like to make a bigger contribution to communities in need.”
The holiday fire safety kits includes a cache of 10-year First Alert smoke alarms, 3-year First Alert CO Detectors, Ready, Set, Go and FireSmart:California public safety brochures. Family escape plans, in both English and Spanish were also included.
Fire Prevention Kits were sent to, among other agencies California Fire Prevention Organization collaborates with:

South Pasadena Fire Department
In 2018, our fire and life safety teams will work to collaborate with additional agencies, working to deliver and install 10-year smoke alarms, teach fire safety, CPR, and other initiatives designed to help those in at-risk communities.
