California Fire Prevention members joined with the City of Murrieta and the Murrieta Fire and Rescue Department in teaching people how to be better prepared during a public safety fair in the city. Along with providing printed material on how to survive a house fire (working smoke alarms being key), and when to follow the protocol set forth by Ready, Set, Go, residents were taught how to perform hands-only CPR.

The Murrieta community is a tight one, and engagement in public safety fairs such as this create a bond with the fire department and partners. CalFire Prevention has been working with Murrieta for several years to build a more resilient community.
