- There are a number of fires burning in Northern California at the moment. These are dangerous fires, and anyone living anywhere near these incidents should take immediate action to protect their families and pets. Firefighters will take care of property to the extent possible. Remember: A building can be replaces. A life cannot.
Here is an update on the fires and important information for you, if you’re in the area or have family and friends who may be affected:

- In the North/East bay area, the Tubbs fire reached 35,000 acres in size early this morning (Monday) – TV footage confirms multiple structures destroyed.
- There are multiple fires reported around Sonoma County. Currently there are fires at Lasndale Rd. in Kenwood, Mark West Springs and Riebli Rd. in Santa Rosa, Shiloh and Conde in Windsor and Hwy 116 at Fredericks Rd. in Sebastopol, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s office.
- Sonoma County officials reported that Sutter Hospital and Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Santa Rosa are being evacuated.
- Multiple homes, wineries and businesses, including KMart in Santa Rosa, have been lost to the wildfires.
- A new fire in Marin County prompted the closure of part of State Route 37 at Highway 121, according to Novato Fire Protection District. This new fire is already more than 100 acres in size and continuing to grow.

- Two large fires burning in Butte and Yuba counties have burned thousands of acres. Upwards of 400 people are in the process of being evacuated.
- The Cherokee fire, which started in the area of Cherokee Road and Zonalea Lane in Oroville, has burned more than 1,000 acres as of this morning, according to Cal Fire.
